What is Thread Lifting?

A thread lift is a minimally invasive treatment that uses specially designed medical threads placed beneath the skin.  The threads contain small cones, barbs or similar structures that attach to the tissue. When carefully positioned, they can gently reposition and support selected areas of the face or neck.

Many modern lifting threads are absorbable, meaning they gradually break down inside the body. A local healing response occurs around the threads, but the degree of additional skin improvement varies between patients.

Thread lifting provides a more subtle and temporary change than a surgical facelift. It cannot remove excess skin or create the same degree of lifting as surgery.
